A Night of Generosity and Impact: The Multisensory Star Chef Soirée

As the Presenting Sponsor, Serein Properties is proud to have supported the Multisensory Star Chef Soirée, an event that brought together a community united by a shared vision to transform arthritis care. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our attendees, donors, and sponsors, we raised over $1.35 million—marking a significant step forward in advancing research, supporting vital programs, and improving the lives of children living with arthritis.

With over 6 million Canadians, including 3 in every 1,000 children, affected by arthritis, the urgency to advance care has never been more critical. This exceptional event, made possible by the dedication of everyone involved, highlighted the power of collaboration and the profound impact we can have when we come together with purpose.

The Multisensory Star Chef Soirée was more than just a fundraising event — it was an immersive experience designed to engage the senses and foster connection. Visionaries at Normal Studio crafted a transformative atmosphere that mirrored the complexities of living with arthritis, using light, sound, and texture to tell a powerful story of resilience and hope.

At the heart of the evening was an eight-course culinary masterpiece by Chef Umberto Bombana, a celebrated 3-Michelin-Star chef. His dishes, which featured Italy’s finest truffles and hand-selected wines, celebrated the notion that food is medicine — a powerful reminder of how nourishment can elevate not only our physical well-being but also our sense of community and connection. Chef Bombana’s exploration of taste served as an elevated expression of health, promoting well-being and sparking conversation among guests.

At Serein Properties, our commitment to design extends beyond aesthetics; it’s a philosophy rooted in creating spaces and experiences that enhance well-being and foster connection. As the Presenting Sponsor, we are honored to stand alongside Arthritis Society Canada, championing innovation and progress both in the built environment and within the communities we serve. Just as we craft spaces that inspire, we are dedicated to initiatives that bring tangible, lasting change to those who need it most.

This evening would not have been possible without the unwavering vision and dedication of Arthritis Society Canada, whose pioneering efforts continue to reshape the future of arthritis care. We extend our deepest gratitude to Leslie Diamond, our Honorary Champion, as well as Cecilia Tse, Event Chair and Senior Vice President – Asia Pacific at Colliers, and her committee members. Additionally, we would like to thank the community leaders, donors, sponsors, and partners whose invaluable contributions made this event a resounding success.

True impact is not measured by moments, but by the lasting change we create together. As we look toward the future, we remain resolute in our commitment to supporting meaningful causes that drive progress and innovation. The Multisensory Star Chef Soirée was a celebration of possibility — a testament to the power of vision, generosity, and purpose. Together, we are making a difference.
