On January 21, 2025, Serein Properties and Arthritis Society Canada will present one of the most unique philanthropic initiatives in Vancouver: The Multisensory Star Chef Soirée. Set against the luxurious backdrop of the Fairmont Pacific Rim, this exclusive event will welcome 100 of Vancouver’s most influential leaders for a captivating fusion of culinary mastery, immersive entertainment, and charitable giving, all in pursuit of a cure for childhood arthritis.

Impacting over 6 million Canadians, arthritis affects approximately 1 in 4 women, 1 in 6 men, and over 25,000 children, limiting their physical abilities and exposing them to greater mental health challenges. By working together with Arthritis Society Canada, we aim to reshape the perception of arthritis and its impact on individuals and families. Serein Properties champions a human-centric philosophy. We believe in creating spaces and communities that prioritize health, well-being, and inclusivity. The Multisensory Star Chef Soirée embodies this vision, offering more than just a dinner but an immersive sensory experience that highlights the powerful connection between food, health, and wellness. All proceeds from this event will go towards the Childhood Research Campaign, contributing to advancing patient care, medical research, and health equity and advocacy.

The Multisensory Star Chef Soirée will be led by Chef Umberto Bombana, a globally celebrated
3-Michelin-star chef, co-owner of 8½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana in Hong Kong, and renowned as the “King of White Truffles.” His dedication to promoting the connection between diet and health will be showcased in an extraordinary Italian-inspired menu, paired with rare international wines. Chef Bombana’s culinary philosophy, rooted in sustainability and health-conscious ingredients, highlights the role of food as a powerful tool in managing health and preventing disease.
